Sylvan Street Grille
Peabody
Sylvan Street Grille opened at 12 Sylvan Street in Peabody in 1989. Originally known as Vic’s Drive In and Donut Shop, it was founded by the Tremblay family in early 1950. It also featured mini-golf. Ernie Tremblay, Jr., the third generation, convinced the family to invest more than $1 million to convert Vic’s into a true neighborhood bar and grille. The goals would remain the same . . . provide great food at reasonable prices, but most importantly, in a casual and comfortable atmosphere. We began selling fried clams, hot dogs, hamburgers, donuts and coffee from a facility built out of renovated chicken coops! TJ Maxx; Trader Joes, Burlington Coat Factory are in the same area. Leave at 10am.
