Longfellow’s Wayside Inn
Sudbury, MA
They encourage people to take advantage of the unstructured layout of the village-like campus—to walk the fields and trails, explore the Longfellow Garden, tour the Inn, Mill, and Schoolhouse. The Wayside Inn was formerly known as the Howe Tavern, and was operated by four generations of that one family from 1716 to 1861. Wander westward, towards the Schoolhouse and Grist Mill, over the old stone bridge, and take a walk through history! We will eat at the tavern in the Ford Room reserved for our group. Please select yankee pot roast with jardiniere sauce or boneless breast of chicken with cranberry walnut dressing. In addition you will be served, salad, rolls, potato, fresh vegie and deep dish apple pie with whipped cream. Coffee, tea or milk. The tax and tip is included.
